Paul Daugerdas

Paul Daugerdas is a highly respected consultant, attorney, and certified public accountant from Wilmette, Illinois. Throughout his extensive financial, legal, and accounting career, Daugerdas has consistently demonstrated his exceptional skills and expertise. Daugerdas’s pursuit of academic excellence began at St. Laurence High School in Burbank, Illinois, where he graduated with honors in 1968. He continued his educational journey at De Paul University, achieving remarkable milestones. 1972 he earned a Bachelor of Science in Commerce with honors from De Paul University’s College of Commerce. Additionally, he obtained his CPA Certificate from the University of Illinois in the same year. Daugerdas’s commitment to learning led him to pursue a Juris Doctor degree with honors, cum laude, from De Paul University’s College of Law in 1974.

Throughout his illustrious career, Daugerdas held numerous significant roles in esteemed financial, legal, and accounting organizations. He began his professional journey as a staff member at Arthur Andersen & Co., gradually progressing to the positions of manager and partner. From 1974 to 1994, Daugerdas made invaluable contributions as a member of the Mergers, Acquisitions & Reorganizations Tax Specialty Team, specializing in M&A transactions. He also headed the Central Region Financial Markets Team, overseeing tax and audit personnel handling various financial instruments and products. Additionally, he served as the Head of the Chicago Office “On Call” Team and was a Financial Valuation Services Specialty Team member.

In 1994, Daugerdas joined the Law Offices of Altheimer & Gray as a partner, assuming the Head of the Tax Department role and becoming a respected Steering Committee member. From 1999 to 2002, he served as a Shareholder/Partner at the Law Offices of Jenkens & Gilchrist, where he managed the Chicago office and co-directed the Tax Practice. His business acumen was further demonstrated during his time at Jenkens & Gilchrist as a member of the Management Advisory Committee.
